+
+### Prerequisites
+
+- Python 3.11+
+- [uv](https://docs.astral.sh/uv/) package manager
+- PostgreSQL 14+

+### Setup
+
+1. **Install dependencies**
+   ```bash
+   cd backend
+   uv sync
+   ```
+
+2. **Environment configuration**
+   ```bash
+   cp .env.example .env
+   # Edit .env with your settings
+   ```

+3. **Database setup**
+   ```bash
+   uv run manage.py migrate
